About Cunard Cruises
Since 1840 the name Cunard has been synonymous with excellence and service at sea. Today the fleet including the QE2, the world's most famous liner, the Queen Victoria and the Queen Mary 2, uphold that tradition of the Golden Age of Ocean Travel when crossing the ocean was a grand event unto itself.
Designed for voyages and long cruises Cunard ships are floating palaces offering the luxury of space, with elegant public rooms of art deco splendour and Edwardian excess.
Dining has always been the centrepiece of any Cunard voyage, a celebration where superb culinary creations are proudly served by waiters trained in the fine art of Cunard White Star Service. Make a sweeping entrance all dressed up in your finery, take your seat, browse our inspiring menus and enjoy our most delicious dining traditions.
There is a team of outstanding chefs and 10 dining venues in all, including the innovative Mediterranean cuisine of the Todd English restaurant. As with the custom of ocean liners in the past, each Queen Mary 2 stateroom is matched with a reserved table at a sea-view restaurant, complemented by the largest wine selection afloat. Of course, you can always make reservations at one of the many optional dining alternatives. Or don't dine out - dine in! Room service is available 24 hours a day - complimentary of course!
December 2007 saw the arrival of a new Queen to the Cunard fleet, Queen Victoria, the second largest Cunarder ever built. For the first time in 168 years, three Queens will sail together under the Cunard banner.
Distinguished by her red and black livery, Queen Victoria is a true Cunarder proudly upholding our famous heritage and traditions. She will be ceremoniously named, by royalty, in her home port of Southampton.
Her interiors are warmly reminiscent of a more gracious era with a dramatic three-tiered Grand Lobby and sumptuous marbles, woods, plush carpets, rich fabrics and soft furnishings that simply exude elegance.
Here at 1st4cruising we have many fantastic cruise offers on Queen Victoria for 2008 and 2009 so call us now, or even book here online, 24 hours a day.
Commonly named the most famous ship in the world, the QE2 has played host to millions of voyagers since its launch and has travelled the equivalent of the moon and back 13 times – more nautical miles than any other cruise ship in the world! The QE2, has something for everyone, including the best children's facilities on any British ship, with a nursery staffed by Norland nannies.
With a guest capacity of 3,056, Queen Mary 2's sheer size allows for a world of diversions. Sybarites can enjoy the rejuvenating treatments of the world-renowned Canyon Ranch SpaClub®. When the stars come out, she shines even brighter. Queen Mary 2 plays host to the most elegant soirees of the season - in any season.
