Hurtigruten
Authentic. Relaxing. Unique.
From the magnificent Norwegian fjords to the ice-filled bays of Antarctica, Hurtigruten is renowned for its comprehensive and adventurous voyages to some of the most remotely beautiful and dramatic coastlines on the planet.
Hurtigruten

MS Finnmarken
Her Art Nouveau style interior is complemented by modern panorama lounges, bars and bistro, conference facilities and a beauty salon.

MS Kong Harald
Named after the King of Norway, this majestic ship also pays tribute to other famous Norwegians and includes the Nansen club bar and Amundsen café. True to tradition, many local artists have put their own individual stamp on this elegant vessel, with distinctive works displayed throughout.

MS Lofoten
Our old favourite attracts many passengers to return time and time again. Built in 1964, refitted and refurbished in 2004, she has the distinction of being named a listed vessel by the Norwegian Director General of Historic Monuments. She offers a classic charm that many find irresistible.

MS Midnatsol
MS Midnatsol took her maiden voyage along the Norwegian coast in April 2003 and has become a firm favourite. The ship has similar capacity and facilities to her sister ship MS Trollfjord with large panorama lounges, cafes and bars; an ideal blend of traditional and 21st century design. The sun deck is equipped with two Jacuzzis and a fitness room.

MS Nordkapp
The varied and exciting themes from coastal culture illustrated in works of art throughout the ship make it a floating art gallery that complements the changing scenes, which may be seen from the panorama lounges and elegant restaurant. There are two outside Jacuzzis on board.

MS Nordlys
It is only natural that décor inspired by the Northern Lights should be apparent in a ship of this name. Artists from this part of Norway have used wood and brass fittings and textiles to create an elegant and relaxed atmosphere.

MS Nordnorge
The name of this beautiful ship is taken from the most northerly area of Norway and artists responsible for the décor are associated with this region. Modern facilities are balanced by a style which is influenced by Art Nouveau and Art Deco producing a light and airy atmosphere. To complete the relaxing on board experience two outdoor Jacuzzis were added in 2005.

MS Nordstjernen
MS Nordstjernen was built in 1956 for service on the Hurtigruten route. This traditional working ship is rich in character and is another firm favourite for many a Hurtigruten enthusiast. Having been modernised during the 1980s she has been used latterly for voyages around the Spitsbergen Archipelago.

MS Polarlys
There are unparalleled views from almost every quarter of this stylish vessel. Polished brass and wood, sculptures, carvings and a fine selection of Norwegian contemporary art are found alongside the comfort of the bars, café, conference rooms and restaurant.

MS Richard With
Proudly bearing the name of the founder of Hurtigruten the ship displays an interior design and artworks which reflect a traditional atmosphere and an intimate acquaintance with the coast it serves. The comfortable facilities now include two outdoor Jacuzzis which were installed during 2005.

MS Trollfjord
A magnificent ship deservedly bearing the name of one of the most dramatic sights on the voyage. The interior design was influenced by the coastal scenery and the wide windows in the panorama lounges provide excellent viewing. Cafés, bars, a conference area, Jacuzzi and exercise room are all equipped to a high standard.

MS Vesteralen
Vesteralen was the name of the first coastal ship and is carried proudly by her modern counterpart. Refitted in 1995, she is characterised by bright and cheerful public areas and features works of art by artists with links to the north Norwegian landscape.
