Some ships will offer a baby-sitting service. On others, stewards and some staff may be available as sitters for an hourly charge. Arrangements cannot be made in advance of sailing.
Beauty Salon / Hair Salon
It is advisable to make any appointments for the beauty or hair salon as soon after boarding as possible, especially on short cruises. Appointment times fill up rapidly, particularly before key social events. Charges are comparable to those ashore.
Bereavement
Should such an unfortunate incident occur at sea, there are trained staff and doctors on board to cope.
Berth
In relation to the Ship this is the Dock, Pier, or Quay.
For passengers, berth means a bed onboard ship.

Bridge Visits
Check the daily programme for announcements of visits to the bridge. On some ships, bridge visits are not allowed for reasons of insurance and security. It is possible that scheduled bridge visits may be cancelled if circumstances change.
