D - Your Questions Answered

Daily Programme
The daily programme lists the day's activities, entertainment, and social events. It is delivered to your cabin the evening before the day that it covers and is an excellent way to plan your day.

Days at Sea
Most cruises will include entire days at sea, but you won't be bored because a complete day of activities is provided - you can do as much or as little as you like.

Deck Chairs
Deck chairs and cushions are widely available & are free of charge on most ships. Specific locations cannot normally be reserved, except aboard the few ships where a charge is made, or by special arrangement with the deck steward.

Departure Tax
If you are disembarking in a foreign port and flying home, please be advised that there could be a departure tax to pay (in local currency) at the airport. However, most cruise lines will include this in the cruise fare.

Dining
A large number of cruise ships have a full casino, typically offering Blackjack, Roulette and slot machines. Cash for casino games cannot be charged to your onboard account. The casino is closed in port due to international customs regulations.

Disabled Access
Many new cruise ships are designed with disabled access in mind and offer wheelchair cabins. For safety reasons, there may be a limit on wheelchair passenger numbers, so it's best to book early. Plenty of activities on board cater for all abilities.

Disembarkation
The night before your cruise ends, place luggage outside your cabin ready for off loading. Leave out fragile items, liquor & clothes you intend to wear. After an early breakfast, you'll be asked to vacate your cabin, but can wait in public areas.

Doctor
All cruise ships carrying more than 50 passengers have a qualified doctor onboard and medical facilities, including a small pharmacy. Any treatment will incur charges, normally added to your onboard account, but which should be covered by your insurance.
