Launch (Tender) Service
Enclosed or open motor launches (called `tenders`) are used when your cruise ship is unable to berth at a port or island. In these cases, a regular launch service is operated between ship and shore for the duration of the port call.

Launderette
Some ships are fitted with self-service laundrettes, equipped with washers, dryers, and ironing facilities, often at no charge. All ships offer a laundry service, chargeable to your on board account.

Laundry and Dry Cleaning
Most ships offer a full laundry and pressing service. Some ships may also offer dry-cleaning facilities. A detailed list of services will be provided in your cabin.

Library
Most cruise ships have a library offering a selection of books, reference material & periodicals. A small refundable deposit is sometimes required. The library is also where you are most likely to find board games like Scrabble, Backgammon & Chess.

Lifeboat Drill
Safety at sea is the number one consideration of all members of the ship's crew. A lifeboat drill is held within the first 24 hours of your cruise to ensure passengers know exactly what procedures there are in the unlikely event of an emergency.

Lost Property
Contact the purser's office immediately if you lose or find something on the ship. Notices regarding lost and found property may be posted on the bulletin boards.

Luggage
Many cruiselines do not have a limit on how much luggage you can bring. However, if you are flying to your departure destination, your flight will have a limit. Please check with your cruiseline and then the airline to find out exact restrictions.
