Water Sports
Some small ships have a watersports platform that is lowered from the ship's stern or side. These ships usually carry windsurfers, water-ski boats, jet skis, water skis and scuba and snorkel equipment, usually at no extra charge.

Weather
All crew members are prepared for bad weather days with a programme of activities scheduled for indoor entertainment.

Wheelchair Access
Most new cruise ships have been designed with wheelchair access in mind. There are also plenty of activities on board to cater for all abilities.

Wine & Alcohol
The cost of drinks onboard is generally lower than on land, since ships have access to duty-free liquor. Drinks may be ordered in the dining room, at any of the ship's bars, or from the room service facility.
